Pink Shirt Day
Surrey Christian School participated in "Pink Shirt Day" to support anti-bullying. Students each pledged to help end bullying by posting a pink hand print with their name on it around the big bulletin board in the front entrance of the school.

So Many Hatching Salmon!!
This morning there were 5 hatched salmon....now there are LOTS more! What an exciting day in 4D!
Fort Langley Field Trip - March 5
Have what it takes to be a fur trader? Build a bucket, watch a blacksmith demonstration, and carry a fur bale. Taste life without electricity or privacy in the Servants’ Quarters. If you think you can do it, sign a five-year company contract with pen and ink in the Big House. Find out how the fur trade led to the British proclaiming BC a Crown Colony at Fort Langley in 1858. We are in need of three parents from each class to help lead us through the fort and come with us on the bus. We will take the first three volunteers who respond via email or a note in their child's planner. (We can take a few additional parents if they are willing to pay the $6.55 themselves.) The plan is to leave the middle campus by bus at 11:45am and return at approximately 2:50 pm.

The Salmon are Hatching!
What an exciting afternoon 4D had! It started with the dissection of a dead salmon egg, followed by the discovery that a salmon egg was beginning to hatch! We spent the afternoon observing and watching this little guy struggle to get out. We hope that by tomorrow he'll be hatched and hidden in the redd. We hope the others follow suit so we can enjoy watching them hatch also! What an amazing and delicate process of God's creation!
