Important Update for Parents and Students of 4SA and 4V

Our field trips to the Coquitlam Watershed have been changed as a result of a cougar spotted in and around the area we were scheduled to visit.  No worries!  We are going to now visit the Lower Seymour Watershed instead.  The previous blog post about how to best prepare for the field trip is still relevant.  Please pray for good weather next week!  We are all really looking forward to spending the day in God's creation!

Terry Fox Run - September 29

Our big buddies from the secondary campus visited us today and we spent some time walking and running together in honour of Terry Fox. Students are invited to bring a $1.00 to school and make a donation to further the cancer research being done in British Columbia. (Thanks again to Mr. Fernhout for another great video!)

Save Those Paper Towel Rolls and Toilet Paper Rolls!

The three grade four classes are collecting the inside cardboard rolls from paper towel rolls and toilet paper rolls. Please collect them and send them along with your child to school. Thanks so much!

Upcoming 4SA & 4V Field Trip Information

4SA and 4V will be visiting the Coquitlam Watershed next week!  4SA will be going on Monday, October 3 and 4V will be going on Tuesday, October 4.  Please ensure that students come prepared to school on the day of their field trip.  Note that students will be outside ALL DAY.

THE BEST WAY YOU CAN HELP YOUR CHILD IS TO MAKE SURE THAT THEY WEAR / BRING:
* Proper footwear - either comfortable walking shoes or boots  (No flip-flops, please!)
* Layers of clothing  (We will be hiking in the forest and it will be cooler than at school.)
* A RAINCOAT (Umbrellas are not suitable for this trip.)
* An extra sweater, socks and hat
* A BIG LITTERLESS lunch
* Water in a reusable container
* Extra snacks  (The fresh air makes everyone more hungry than usual!)
***ALL garbage must be taken home with the students as part of our 'pack out what you pack in' policy.

We will be leaving the school right after attendance is taken, so please ensure that your child is on time in the morning.
